Daiwa Trout Twig Jr. Hardbait 4.3 cm: Worm Action in Hardbait Form

The Daiwa Trout Twig Jr. is the compact version of the proven Daiwa Trout Twig. It produces a movement you would not expect from a hardbait. At 4.3 cm long, it is around 70 per cent of the original's size and weighs just 1.2 g. This trout hardbait imitates the soft wriggle of a worm and appeals to the feeding instinct of trout.

Design: top-mounted diving lip and four-part body

The design, with its top-mounted diving lip and four-part body, sets it apart from classic hardbaits. The lip catches water even under light pull and produces a mix of rolling and wobbling. This head movement is transferred via a special connecting line to the four jointed body segments. As a result, the entire body wriggles finely like a worm.

How to fish the Trout Twig Jr. correctly

First check the right speed right at your feet. Draw the lure slowly through the water and watch at which speed it runs cleanly. If you retrieve it too fast, it starts to spin. Then cast out and reel in at this speed. Light twitches that make the body jerk like a worm are also well worth trying. In trout area fishing, the small silhouette is particularly convincing with fish that have already seen many lures. Smaller trout take it readily too.

The 'Earthworm' colour combines the worm action with a worm pattern, which makes it particularly convincing. 'Ramune' is a pearlescent gradient of violet and green. Against the light, the two tones appear to swap places. The translucent colour attracts in a subtle, natural way.
