Humminbird Xplore 12 - Maximum Overview on 12.1 Inches

When a 9- or 10-inch display doesn't provide enough split-screen space, the Xplore 12 is the answer. The largest model in the Xplore series delivers 12.1 inches of diagonal at 1280 × 800 pixels - enough real estate to comfortably view Side Imaging, chart, and 2D sonar or MEGA Live 2 simultaneously. Under the hood, it features the same MEGA Imaging+ and CHIRP hardware as the 9 and 10, but the 12-inch screen is where it truly shines.

The Display: 12.1-Inch HD with Cross Touch

The 12.1-inch display features 1280 × 800 pixel resolution - same resolution as the 10, but physically larger. This means each pixel is larger and therefore more legible in direct sunlight. The anti-glare coating is optimized for polarized sunglasses. Cross Touch allows touchscreen or keypad operation. The quad-core processor keeps up smoothly even during multi-view operation with MEGA Live 2 data.

Sonar: MEGA Imaging+ and Dual Spectrum CHIRP

The included CMSI+ transducer (Compact MEGA Side Imaging+) unlocks all three sonar modes:

• MEGA Side Imaging+ - 455 kHz up to 400 ft per side, MEGA (1,050-1,175 kHz) up to 125 ft per side. 20% more detail and 60% more range than the previous MEGA SI generation.
• MEGA Down Imaging+ - 455 kHz to 400 ft depth, MEGA to 200 ft depth.
• Dual Spectrum CHIRP - 2D sonar with Wide Mode (140-200 kHz) and Narrow Mode (180-240 kHz). The Low-Q CHIRP transducer delivers sharp fish arches and clear bottom separation.

Transmit power is rated at 1,000 Watts RMS (8,000 Watts PTP). 2D sonar to 1,200 ft with the standard transducer, up to 3,500 ft with an optional 50 kHz transducer.

Charts and GPS

Built-in precision GPS receiver. LakeMaster and CoastMaster charts are pre-installed. AutoChart Live generates real-time depth maps with bottom hardness and vegetation (8 hours of internal storage). Two Micro SD slots for Navionics+, additional LakeMaster regions, or AutoChart Zero Line cards.

Networking and One-Boat Network

Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NMEA 2000 - all on board. Via One-Boat Network, you can control Minn Kota i-Pilot Link trolling motors, Talon/Raptor shallow water anchors, and Cannon downriggers directly from the 12-inch display. Three programmable OBN buttons. Automatic network configuration of new devices. Wireless software updates via the One-Boat App.

Compatible with MEGA Live 2 and MEGA 360

Via Ethernet, you can connect MEGA Live 2 (forward-facing live sonar with real-time zoom), MEGA Live 1, and MEGA 360. In multi-display setups, multiple Xplore or Apex units share sonar data over the Ethernet network. The 12 is the ideal primary display in such a setup - with enough screen space to view MEGA Live 2 and Side Imaging simultaneously.

Who Is the 12 For?

The Xplore 12 is built for anglers who work with three or more simultaneous views, regularly use MEGA Live 2, and have a boat with sufficient console space. On smaller aluminum boats or kayaks, the 12 may be oversized - the Xplore 9 or 10 would be a better fit. The technology is absolutely identical across all three models. The premium for the 12 is exclusively for the larger display area.

• Xplore 10 - The sweet spot: more screen real estate for comfortable split-screen work, without being too large for mid-size boats. The higher resolution (800 vs. 720 vertical pixels) is noticeable in Side Imaging.
• Xplore 12 - Maximum overview for larger boats, tournament anglers, and multi-display setups. The 12.1 inches comfortably display three views simultaneously in split-screen.
