Which tip is suitable for which target fish?

In the overlap range of 10 to 25 g, factors such as lure shape, water resistance and the desired rod characteristics are just as important as the weight. The lighter tip is better suited to smaller and less powerful lures. The sturdier tip is recommended for larger or more actively swimming lures, as well as when additional power reserves are required for lure presentation or playing the fish.

Construction and handling

The blank is made from 24T carbon. The fast rod action supports direct lure presentation and clearly perceptible bite transmission, particularly when fishing with actively worked artificial lures. The split EVA handle is 40.5 cm long, with 26 cm from the end of the handle to the reel seat. This length is designed to provide optimal leverage when casting medium-sized lures whilst ensuring that the end of the handle does not catch on clothing during the fight. Despite its wide range of applications, the 2.70 m-long rod weighs just 201 g and remains easy to handle.

Who is this rod suitable for, and what are its limitations?

The TwoBarrels Multi Spin is a versatile hybrid. We believe in giving honest advice. This rod is not a substitute for highly specialised finesse or ultralight rods for lures under 5 g, or for heavy rods designed for trophy pike using large lures such as swimbaits or jerkbaits. However, if you're looking for a flexible, all-round spinning rod that can be used for two different applications in the 5-45 g range, this rod will reduce your transport weight while keeping you versatile out on the water.

Further uses

With the lighter tip section, the rod can also be used for light float rigs and occasional sbirolino fishing. Due to its length of 2.70 metres, it is highly versatile, but it cannot replace a specially designed, longer sbirolino rod.
