Salmo Slider Plug: This lure is a true virtuoso in a large family of lures that have all been developed for large predators. Left and right: the sinuous dance of the slider that leads predators to crimes of passion! Foaming water and smoking spool brakes await you at all times now.take a deep breath and get ready for a lot of action!
With a light downward pull of the rod, the slider comes to life as if with a sudden flash and glides away from the angler at almost a 90° angle. Another pull leads to a sudden change in the opposite direction, which is simply irresistible for pike, perch and musky.
How to fish with the slider:
Normally, the slider is fished with a regular series of rod strokes while you reel it in briskly. The rod strokes should be very energetic and fast. Before fishing properly, you should always make a few casts and practice retrieving in clear water to observe the behaviour of the slider and get the timing right. Once you have mastered this, the slider will turn sharply from side to side. The slider works so well that many different styles of retrieve will work in different conditions. Regardless of which style you choose and find effective, you should focus on maintaining that style. So you must always be aware of your slider's behaviour. The type of running pattern you choose is very important. In very low water temperatures (2° - 5°C), the best results will be achieved if you fish slowly with pauses of up to 3 seconds between light jerks. At higher water temperatures, the retrieve speed should be increased. The slider is surprisingly well suited for shallow trolling. Let it run between 10 and 30 metres behind the boat and pull it every few seconds as you would when spin fishing.
