The Gunfish 95 is a topwater lure that Lucky Craft Pro Brent Ehrler calls the perfect bait for schooling fish. The bait has a subtle action that appeals to bass looking for an easy meal on the surface while still generating vicious strikes. The Gunfish also features a unique tungsten resin tail weight system for maximum casting distance even in the wind.
The Gunfish is a thinner bodied bait, but it walks just as effortlessly as the classic Sammy. The unique cupped face of the bait adds a great spitting action as it is walking from side to side. It incorporates a special sound chamber that makes a loud knocking noise to call fish out of deep water.
"It is a subtle bait, but it still creates a lot of commotion on the surface," says Ehrler. "I like to work it very quickly to get the walking and spitting action as it flicks water to each side. It also leaves a nice bubble trail behind the bait for more attraction."
