Illex Lure Tiny Fry 38 SP 1.5g suspending Truitelle

Illex Tiny Fry 38 SP: The Small Minnow with the Big Wobble

The Illex Tiny Fry 38 SP was developed with one clear goal. A minnow measuring just 38 mm should produce vibrations as strong as those of a considerably larger crankbait. It is exactly this powerful wobbling action that makes the Illex lure one of the most attractive small baits for trout, perch and chub. Weighing 1.5 g and built as a suspending model, it holds its position in the water column when you stop the retrieve and presents itself to the fish at eye level.

Easy to Work, Hard to Resist

The Illex Tiny Fry does not require any elaborate retrieve technique. Reeled in steadily, it runs with a strong wobble; short twitches and jerks of the rod tip bring it to life. In doing so, it imitates a panicking baitfish that does not flee but twitches on the spot as if injured. This behaviour triggers the feeding reflex of predators, even when they are not actively hunting. The suspending characteristic turns every pause into a bite opportunity.

Stable in Current, Long in the Cast

The compact body shape and the small diving lip ensure that the Illex minnow stays cleanly on course even in strong current and does not break out. This makes it one of the trout lures that suits fast flowing streams as well as calm still waters. For its size, the Tiny Fry achieves a remarkable casting distance on thin line, allowing you to reach fish holding further away.
