Illex Hagre Minnow 120 F Crankbait 24g Bone

Illex Hagre Minnow 120 F: long-casting coastal minnow lure for sea bass, asp and pike

The Illex Hagre Minnow 120 F is a hardbait designed specifically for covering large stretches of water quickly in search of active predators along the coast. This floating minnow lure combines a slim profile with a weight distribution built entirely around maximum casting distance. As a result, it remains one of the most dependable saltwater lures in wind and current, letting you reach fish feeding far out.

Action: stable on the retrieve, lively when twitched

The diving lip is tuned for a brisk retrieve. The lure runs steadily with a pronounced rolling action and repeatedly darts off to the side at irregular intervals. It is exactly this irregularity that triggers strikes. Worked with short flicks of the rod tip, the hardbait becomes a twitchbait that imitates the frantic escape of a baitfish.

Casting distance for beach, pier and rocky shore

The aerodynamic shape and a weight of 24 g carry the lure a long way, even into the wind. This makes it one of the most effective sea bass lures for reaching fish hunting far out from the beach, from piers or from rocky stretches of coastline. It stays close to the surface throughout, diving to no more than about 20 cm.

In freshwater: asp, pike and perch

The 12 cm lure also shows its strengths on rivers. Used for asp, it makes full use of its casting performance in fast-flowing sections, and its aggressive action provokes spectacular surface strikes. As a pike lure, it suits shallow areas and weed beds. Thanks to its buoyancy and shallow running depth, it can be worked slowly over the vegetation without losing its appeal and rarely gets snagged. Large river perch that deliberately target bigger prey respond to it as well. It is a perch lure for situations where a small minnow simply does not create enough disturbance.

Proven hardware

Straight out of the box, the lure is fitted with sharp size 4 trebles of the type "Jackall Genuine Treble RB Medium". Anyone who already fishes with Illex lures will recognise the careful balance of shape, weight and action that also defines the Hagre Minnow.
