Illex Chubby 41SSR - The versatile surface hunter for successful predator anglers
The Illex Chubby 41SSR wobbler is a highly effective crankbait that has been specially developed for surface fishing. With a length of 4.1 cm and a balanced weight of 5.7 g, this hardbait is the perfect choice for targeting perch, asp, chub and trout.
Sophisticated design for maximum fishing success
The sophisticated centre of gravity system of the Illex wobbler enables precise and long casts, which is particularly advantageous when fishing in waters with a lot of structure. As a Chubby SSR, the Illex crankbait impresses with an extremely shallow running depth of 0.0 to 0.2 metres and imitates various prey perfectly.
Versatile surface bait
As a genuine wakebait, the Illex Chubby masters the art of surface presentation. Its special characteristics make it the ideal bait for perch and chub. The most important features at a glance:
- Perfect imitation of insects, small fish, frogs and rodents
- Highly effective for chub under overhangs and actively hunting trout
- Excellent casting properties thanks to optimised weight distribution
- Precise running behaviour in the surface area
- High-quality finish with realistic colouring
Areas of application and fishing techniques
The Illex Chubby SSR really comes into its own when targeting predatory fish in the surface area. Its realistic prey imitation makes this barfishing lure an indispensable companion for active spin fishing, especially in areas with overhanging vegetation or when stalking surface-active predators.
