Illex Bonnie 65 Silent Stickbait Lures

Illex Bonnie 65 Silent: Silent Stickbait for Wary Perch and Chub

When perch and chub on heavily fished waters ignore every conspicuous lure, the Illex Bonnie 65 Silent shows its strength. This compact surface lure is based on the proven Bonnie model but works without any rattle noise. The result is a particularly subtle presentation that does not spook cautious predators but deliberately tempts them to strike.

Natural Silhouette with a Lively Action

With a length of 65 mm and a weight of 4.2 g, this hardbait matches the size of the small baitfish that perch and chub prefer to hunt. Short, rhythmic rod twitches on a slack line send the stickbait gliding across the surface in a zigzag, in the classic walking-the-dog style. Alternatively, you can work it in a skating style in wide, shallow arcs. Both actions look lively and precise, so even hesitant fish commit.

Long Casts Despite the Compact Size

The streamlined shape and well-designed weight system deliver long, accurate casts. This lets you reach lily pad fields, overhanging banks or shallow drop-offs from a greater distance without disturbing the spot. It is as effective as a chub lure on small rivers as it is among perch lures for hunting shoals in summer. Asp that raid the surface also respond well to this slim topwater lure.

Japanese Design with High-Quality Components

Developed by Jackall, the design house behind many Illex lures, this model comes fitted with two Jackall Genuine Treble RB Medium trebles in size 8. The PTFE coating helps the hook points penetrate more easily and ensures a good hook-up rate, even on cautious takes. The floating lure works right at the surface, making it an excellent choice among surface lures for perch in shallow, clear water.

Why the Bonnie 65 Silent Is Worth It

• Silent construction for wary fish on heavily fished waters
• Natural baitfish silhouette for perch, chub and asp
• Versatile retrieve in walking-the-dog and skating style

As a surface lure for finesse fishing, the Bonnie 65 Silent belongs in every collection of fishing lures when a natural presentation makes the difference. Whether for perch in a harbour basin or as a stickbait along the lake shore: It gives you a discreet alternative as soon as loud lures stop producing bites.
