The Illex Magnum Chubby 50 is a powerful addition to the popular Chubby series, designed for catching larger predatory fish. Measuring 50 mm in length and weighing 8.3 g, this crankbait offers a larger silhouette while maintaining the same effective action.
Designed as a shallow runner, the Magnum Chubby reaches a running depth of around 0.8 metres, making it ideal for fishing in shallow areas, along reed edges, and in weed-rich zones where predatory fish lie in wait for their prey.
Its stocky body shape creates a pronounced wobbling action with strong flanks. A simple, steady retrieve is enough to attract perch, pike, trout, chub, asp and black bass. Occasional pauses in the stop-and-go technique further increase the likelihood of catching fish.
