The FeelFree Overdrive Pedal engine is the long-awaited elementary comonent of the Overdrive System and serves this one as a kind of backbone.
The pedal engine gets mounted on the Sonar Pod notch of the Lure series (except Lure 10) or the Dorado, from where it can be sunk down in the water resp. lifted up when not in use or when you pull your kayak out of the water. Once in the water, the strengths and advantages of the pedal engine become obvious:
- The strong transmission ratio provides a quite good speed even when pedaling slowly.
- Breaking and backing up is possible when pedaling in the opposite direction.
- The Overdrive Pedal unit doesn't need much more space then the Sonar Pod.
- The hands are free so you can concentrate on fishing and catching your dream fish.
- The pedal unit offers a notch for the retrofitting of the Overdrive e-motor.
- The frame is made from an extremely stable cast aluminum, so you have years of fun with your Overdrive.
- Measures: HxLxW 79 x 56 x 43 cm
It's highly recommended to additionally assemble the steering system, consisting of rudder and hand steering, to ensure that you can steer your kayak even when pedaling.
