Humminbird Xplore 10 - The Sweet Spot with a 10.1-Inch Display
More screen space than the 9, more compact than the 12, same sonar power: the Humminbird Xplore 10 hits the sweet spot for anglers who work in split-screen and want to comfortably view chart, Side Imaging, and 2D sonar simultaneously. With 1,000W RMS, MEGA Side Imaging+, MEGA Down Imaging+, and full MEGA Live 2 compatibility, it is the most versatile all-rounder in the Xplore series.
The Display: 10.1-Inch HD with Cross Touch
The 10.1-inch display features 1280 × 800 pixel resolution - 80 pixels more vertically than the Xplore 9 (720p). The difference is especially noticeable in Side Imaging: more vertical pixels mean more detail per split-screen panel. The anti-glare display is optimized for use with polarized sunglasses. Cross Touch allows touchscreen or keypad operation - whichever suits the situation.
Sonar: MEGA Imaging+ and Dual Spectrum CHIRP
The included CMSI+ transducer (Compact MEGA Side Imaging+) activates three sonar modes:
- MEGA Side Imaging+ - Side-looking underwater imagery at 455 kHz (up to 400 ft per side) or in MEGA quality at 1,050-1,175 kHz (up to 125 ft per side). The Plus version delivers 20% more detail and 60% more range than the previous generation.
- MEGA Down Imaging+ - High-resolution imagery beneath the boat. 455 kHz to 400 ft depth, MEGA to 200 ft depth.
- Dual Spectrum CHIRP - 2D sonar powered by the Low-Q CHIRP transducer with Wide Mode (140-200 kHz) for area coverage and Narrow Mode (180-240 kHz) for razor-sharp target separation. Fish on the bottom are clearly distinguished from structure.
Transmit power is rated at 1,000 Watts RMS (8,000 Watts PTP). The standard CMSI+ transducer provides 2D sonar to 1,200 ft depth, with an optional 50 kHz transducer extending to 3,500 ft.
Charts and GPS
Built-in precision GPS receiver with pre-installed LakeMaster and CoastMaster charts. AutoChart Live generates real-time depth maps with bottom hardness and vegetation - with 8 hours of internal recording storage. Two Micro SD slots for additional Navionics+, LakeMaster, or AutoChart Zero Line cards.
Networking and One-Boat Network
Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NMEA 2000 come standard. Via the One-Boat Network, the Xplore 10 communicates wirelessly with Minn Kota trolling motors (i-Pilot Link, Spot-Lock, Drift Mode), Talon/Raptor shallow water anchors, and Cannon downriggers. Three programmable OBN buttons for instant access. Automatic network configuration of new devices. Wireless software updates via the One-Boat App.
Compatible with MEGA Live 2 and MEGA 360
Via the built-in Ethernet port, you can connect MEGA Live 2 (forward-facing live sonar with real-time zoom), MEGA Live 1, and MEGA 360. In multi-display setups over Ethernet, multiple Xplore or Apex units can share sonar data.
Honest Trade-off: Where the 10 and 12 Differ
Display resolution and sonar performance are identical between the Xplore 10 and 12 (both 1280 × 800). The only technical difference is physical display size: 10.1 vs. 12.1 inches. The 12 offers more comfort with three or four split-screen views, but the 10 fits better on mid-size consoles and kayaks. If you primarily work with two simultaneous views, the 10 saves approximately $500 compared to the 12 - with identical technology.

Which Xplore is right for you?
- Xplore 9 - Perfect for smaller boats, kayaks, or as a second display in a networked setup. Compact, yet equipped with the full sonar and networking package of the series.
- Xplore 10 - The sweet spot: more screen real estate for comfortable split-screen work, without being too large for mid-size boats. The higher resolution (800 vs. 720 vertical pixels) is noticeable in Side Imaging.
- Xplore 12 - Maximum overview for larger boats, tournament anglers, and multi-display setups. The 12.1 inches comfortably display three views simultaneously in split-screen.
