Hearty Rise Micro Jigging Assist Hooks L

Hearty Rise Micro Jigging Assist Hooks: compact assist hooks for controlled lure presentation

In micro jigging, the hook often decides whether a short, cautious take is converted. This is exactly where these Hearty Rise assist hooks come in: a strong single hook is attached to a braided assist cord, which in turn is connected to the jig by a metal ring.

Mounted to move instead of fixed to the lure

The hook is mounted to move freely and hangs above the lure body. This separation leaves the jig its full action, while the assist hook meets the fish as it takes. Using the metal ring, you can swap the hook at the split ring within seconds, without taking the whole rig apart.

Use on small to medium jigs

As jigging hooks, this design shows its strengths on the light models used for vertical fishing for perch, zander or cod. Because the Hearty Rise assist hook works at the front section of the lure, it picks up attacks on the lure head that a treble at the rear end often misses. At the same time, the high mounting position reduces contact with the bottom.

The key points at a glance

• Single hook on a braided assist cord with a metal ring for quick changes
• Free-moving attachment that preserves the jig's own action
• High hooking position for takes aimed at the lure head
• Several sizes, matched to small and medium jigs
• Reduced risk of snagging compared with a classic setup at the rear of the lure

Choosing the right size

A guideline from practice: the hook width should roughly match the width of the jig body. If the jigging hook is too small, the point finds no purchase. If it is too large, it disturbs the action of the lure. On slim jigs you should therefore choose one size down from what you would use on broader models.

Quality from a specialist hook production

Hearty Rise has been developing fishing tackle together with working guides and tournament anglers for years. That standard shows in the clean point geometry and the carefully welded assist cord, which keeps the Hearty Rise MJA-10 ready for use even after several fish.
