When fishing small spoons for trout, the challenge is to guide lures weighing only a few grams with precision and to feel the many bites. The Jenzi T-Rex is tuned specifically for this style of fishing. Its very fine tip signals every contact, while the powerful backbone provides the reserves you need in the fight.

Sensitive tip, powerful backbone

The action of this Jenzi trout rod is clearly divided. In the upper section, the tip works very sensitively and keeps your spoon moving evenly, even on a slow retrieve. This lets you feel how the lure is running and when a trout only gives a brief pluck. Towards the handle, the power builds noticeably. The backbone brings even hard-fighting fish to the landing net under control, without you having to sacrifice that fine feel. The blank, labelled "High Carbon", delivers a light and direct fishing experience.

Thoughtful ergonomics for long days on the water

At trout ponds, anglers often fish actively for hours. The split EVA grip sits comfortably in the hand and keeps the weight of this spinning rod low. The lightweight reel seat with a carbon look holds the reel securely and transmits vibrations directly to your hand. The ergonomically shaped fore grip offers a secure hold even with wet hands.

For spoons and light spinners

The Jenzi T-Rex is a spoon rod that shows its strengths when precisely working small spoons. It is equally suited to light spinners when the trout are hunting more actively and you need more pressure in the water.

Two models for different situations

The 1.90 m model with 1-4 g is recommended for ultralight spoons, clear water and wary fish. The 1.98 m version with 2-6 g offers greater casting distance and more reserve for slightly heavier lures or windy days.

From our experience in the shop: pair the Jenzi T-Rex with a light spinning reel in size 1000 or 2000 and a thin line. This lets you make full use of the tip's sensitivity.
