Each detail has been thought through from the diameter of the cork handle to the position of the wooden reel seat to achieve the optimal grip and balance. We have worked on the tapers of each high modulus TORAY blank to get the casting and playing actions just right and to optimise lure control. Each model strikes the right balance between responsiveness, flex and power to give you maximum fishing pleasure and enjoyment from each hooked trout. 160UL: Simply the best rod for fans of UL fishing on small streams and rivers. Progressive action perfect for flicking the smallest spinners with unerring accuracy. The blank soaks up angry headshakes from hooked fish reducing the risk of snap offs on very light lines. Ideal for 00 and 0 size spinners, tiny spoons and unweighted insect imitation soft baits.
180UL: The perfect UL rod equally at home on small waterways or surface fishing on bigger waters through summer. The progressive action is perfect for accurate underarm casting and the blank has a reserve of power near the butt to handle hard fighting fish even on light lines. We recommend using the rod with spinners from 00 to 1 and small spoons.
