Bullseye X-Series Swim & Shad Fishing Rod Cast 2,50m 40-132g

Bullseye X-Series Swim & Shad 250: The Pike Rod for Really Big Lures

Large shads, swimbaits and bulky soft plastics call for dedicated tackle. The lure has to be worked cleanly, the hookset has to go through and the fish has to be played under control. The Bullseye X-Series Swim & Shad 250 was built for exactly this job: it measures 2.50 m, carries a casting weight of 40 to 132 g and has a backbone that does not fade after a long day of casting.

A Blank with Feedback and Reserves

At its heart sits a T1100 carbon blank with fast action. It transmits every contact straight into your hand, so you pick up the movement of the lure and cautious takes early. The power factor of 4.8 reflects the reserves in the lower third of the blank, which means enough pressure to keep a big pike clear of weed and snags. At 211 g the rod still stays well balanced and comfortable to fish for hours.

Fuji Components for Hard Use

The rod carries 7+1 Fuji K SS AL guides, whose angled frames noticeably reduce tangles with braided line. The Fuji VSS 16 reel seat holds firm and gives direct blank contact. The 58.5 cm handle with its 40.7 cm rear section is built for two-handed casting of heavy lures. A hook keeper holds the lure safely in place when you move between swims.

In Practice from Bank and Boat

As a Bullseye spinning rod, the Swim & Shad shows its strengths wherever distance and control have to come together. It splits in the middle and packs down to a transport length of 129 cm. The neoprene sleeve supplied with it takes the rod even when it is made up, which saves time when you change spots.

Our Take from the Tackle Shop

We have spent years advising anglers who are moving up from classic soft plastics to big lures. The most common mistake is a rod that is too soft to drive the hookset home. For us the Bullseye X-Series Swim & Shad ranks among the most powerful rods in its price class and is a pike rod that makes that step with you.
