Lew's KVD Elite Baitcast Reel - Precision and control for serious anglers
The baitcast reel from Lew's KVD Elite series was developed in collaboration with bass fishing world champion Kevin VanDam. It is designed for anglers who expect reliability and technical superiority with every cast. As a multi-purpose reel for spin fishing, it combines a sturdy aluminium frame with lightweight graphite side plates, achieving the optimal balance between strength and low weight.
PARAMAG RX drag system and casting precision
The PARAMAG-RX drag system enables maximum casting control whilst delivering long casting distances. Backlashes are effectively prevented, which is particularly advantageous when spin fishing with different lure weights. The two-stage, titanium-coated zirconium line guide ensures smooth, low-wear line flow and supports long, precise casts.
Gearwork, Bearings and Braking Power
The premium 7-bearing system with double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings guarantees a silky-smooth, consistent run. Anodised aluminium quick-action gears with P2 Super Pinion technology ensure perfect gear alignment and long-lasting smoothness. The Zero-Reverse one-way clutch bearing delivers instant hooking power without any play. The carbon fibre drag system achieves a maximum drag force of around 9 kg to safely land even powerful fish.
Practical features
The patented Speed Keeper holds the lure securely in place during transport. An external grease nipple facilitates maintenance. The Level-Wind system distributes the line evenly across the spool and reliably prevents tangles.
