Sufix Calibr8 Braided Fishing Line 135m

Sufix Calibr8: 8-Strand Braided Fishing Line in Japanese UHMPE for Every Technique

Whether you favour delicate finesse fishing in the Japanese style or casting heavy lures: this Sufix fishing line is designed to offer the right diameter for every application. Eight densely woven strands of 100-per-cent Japanese UHMPE fibres from Toyobo make the braided fishing line smooth and low in stretch. It combines long casts with high breaking strain and good abrasion resistance.

Dynamic Pitch Construction: Matched Fibre Diameters

Behind this sits a simple idea: not every diameter needs the same build. In the range from 0.10 mm to 0.12 mm, the focus is on an ultra-thin, supple construction for precise line lay, long casts and knot strength tuned to fine diameters. From 0.14 mm to 0.24 mm, the ratio of breaking strain to diameter takes priority, complemented by increased abrasion resistance. From 0.28 mm upwards, the diameters are built for baitcasting and heavy spin fishing and offer additional reserves.

A Smooth Surface for More Control

The ultra-thin coating and the very dense braid let the line run quietly through the guides. This increases casting distance and protects the material against rock armour, mussel beds and other obstacles. At the same time you benefit from direct lure control: bites register clearly at the rod and the hookset lands without delay.

What Sets the Sufix Calibr8 Apart

• 100 % Japanese Toyobo UHMPE in an 8-strand braid
• Dynamic Pitch Construction with fibre diameters matched to the application
• Very good ratio of breaking strain to diameter
• Smooth coating for long casts and high abrasion resistance
• Low stretch for clear bite detection and a secure hookset

Colours, Diameters and Use

You receive this Sufix braided fishing line on 135 m spools in the colours Neon Lime and Lo Vis Green. Neon Lime stays visible to you in difficult light, while Lo Vis Green keeps a low profile in clear water. Both colours cover the spectrum from 0.105 mm with 8 kg to 0.33 mm with 43 kg. That makes the line suitable for fresh and salt water, for all lure sizes and for spinning as well as baitcasting reels. In practice, the range from 0.128 mm to 0.17 mm has proven a versatile fishing line for perch and zander, while the stronger versions show their reserves when pike fishing and at sea.
