Momoi NEO FC Fluorocarbon: a hard leader line for demanding conditions
When the leader runs across mussel beds, rocky banks or pike teeth, abrasion resistance decides whether a fish is landed or the hook simply ends up back in the water. The Momoi NEO leader line was developed for exactly these situations. It is a further developed version of the well known Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon and is aimed at anglers who do not want to compromise on their leader material.
Very hard, very resistant
The Momoi Fluorocarbon is deliberately set up hard. This hardness provides a high resistance to mechanical stress and allows good lure control, as the material is less prone to twisting. The line is produced in Japan using the UR Processing method from 100 % fluorocarbon.
Discreet under water, insensitive to UV light
As a result, the transparent line remains almost invisible under water, which is a particular advantage in clear waters and with cautious fish. Unlike many monofilament lines, the material does not absorb water and is insensitive to UV light. The properties are therefore retained even after longer days of fishing in the sun.
Versatile as a leader and shock leader
The Momoi NEO can be used in many ways as a leader and shock leader, for example as a fluorocarbon leader for pike in strong diameters, as a fluorocarbon leader for zander on soft baits, as a fluorocarbon leader for perch in fine diameters or as a fluorocarbon leader for trout on lakes. Thanks to its fast sinking behaviour you bring your lure down to the desired depth quickly. For pike, even a strong fluorocarbon does not replace a steel or titanium leader, but it does clearly reduce visibility compared with many alternatives.
