In planning and developing The Hammer Tail Shad, its body shape, material, the UV-coating, and the shape of the tail (Hammer Tail with grooves) were so designed as to have maximum effect when using in an extremely slow manner as well as with faster and jerkier movements. A slit was included on the underside of the belly. The size and color variations were so chosen to add to success in clear, murky, or fast moving waters.
