The Riser Bait 012SL is the long slim model in our Riser Bait series. This new generation pencil bait is streamlined and dense. The bib is set at an innovative angle to generate an erratic swimming action either sub surface or in the surface film. Works best with a straight retrieve, faster retrieves will keep the lure up on or near the surface and slower retrieves keep it sub surface. The key to all Riser Bait lures is how they imitate prey fish fleeing towards the surface. During testing the majority of strikes happen as the bait rises towards the top. This tropicalized version of the Riser Bait has a reinforced "wire thru" armament that can handle species like leerfish, yellow and red tuna and trevally. Being so dense this lure will handle difficult conditions like fishing into strong winds or distance casting when fish are a long way out.
