These charging units are, concerning to the charging characteristic, preprogrammed for closed AGM/Gel batteries (IUoP). For using Lead/Acid batteries (IWoP) we willingly switch the charging characteristic for you, but this must be specified in your order. Even the charging power is adjustable within the defaulted limitations (depending on the charger). But this is only necessary if the charging power outruns the presettings of the battery manufacturer.
Despite varying or low input voltage (185 - 265 V, 47 - 62 Hz), e.g. at the end of the dock or behind endless extension cables, the output power is always constant. Because of the high-frequence technology these chargers are light and compact and suitable for installation in a boat or applicable as a table unit. The units are equipped with a 2m power inlet pipe complete with 16A Schuko plug and a 2.5m charging cable (without battery clips). The working temperature amounts to -10° to +55°C. For starting the charge a reverse voltage of 1 V per cell is needed.
Please mind when buying a charger resp. a matching battery, that the charger's power output should amount to approx. 1/10 of the battery's ampere-hour number (Ah) to ensure that one charging cycle won't take much longer than 8 - 10 hours.
