This special hook series by Owner is specialized for use on larger salmonids such as trout and salmon.
The special shape gives the hook, despite its fineness, a tremendous load capacity and won't leave the fish, despite the lack of barbs, off the hook. Another advantage is that a hook without barbs slides almost effortlessly and without a stroke in the fish's mouth and fish only got injured very minimally. This makes the Kitsune hooks ideal for catch&release fishing and trout areas, where triplets are often not allowed.
Another area of application is the micro jigging with small soft baits, since the shape and the slightly offset hook tip already come close to the design of a real offset hook.
