Delphin's T-Area Tungsten Jig Heads are specifically designed for ultralight fishing and trout fishing. As specialised jig heads for light soft baits, these tungsten jig heads offer measurable advantages over traditional lead alternatives in everyday fishing.
Tungsten: Small head, big impact
The heart of these jig heads is the tungsten. It is around two-thirds denser than lead, meaning the head is significantly more compact for the same weight. Less volume means less water and air resistance, allowing for longer casts and faster sinking of the bait. At the same time, the hardness of the material transmits every contact with the bottom and even the most tentative bite directly to the rod tip.
Designed for competitive use
These jig heads for trout come with extra-sharp, barbless hooks. This is gentler on the fish when releasing them and is mandatory in Trout Area competitions. The hook geometry ensures immediate, deep penetration on the strike and holds the fish securely even during the fight. A generous eye makes tying on the hook considerably easier, even in difficult conditions.
Colours for every situation
Fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange provoke aggressive reactions in freshly stocked fish. Gold and silver are tried-and-tested classics that impress with their reflections in sunlight. Copper looks natural in clear waters and is the first choice for shy wild fish.
