Rapala Countdown Lure Set 90 Years: A Limited Tribute to a Fishing Icon
For 90 years, Rapala has captivated anglers around the world with handcrafted lures made from responsibly sourced balsa wood. This limited anniversary kit brings together three milestones of the brand's history and lets you experience the journey from a raw piece of wood to a fish-catching work of art.
Three Eras in One Set
This Rapala Limited set captures the brand's most important chapters: the Classic in a nostalgic vintage color (1936), a Custom HD printed pattern with lifelike detail (2015) and the Elite version (2020) as the pinnacle of lure craftsmanship. An unpainted balsa body also reveals how each of these Rapala lures travels from raw wood to a finished lure.
How the Countdown Technique Works
The Rapala Countdown stands in a lure category all its own. Wherever the fish are holding, just below the surface, above the weeds or close to the bottom, you simply count the sinking lure down to the desired depth and present it precisely in the most promising zone. The internal weights create an irresistible rolling action on the retrieve, while the lure flutters enticingly on the pause.
Built for Trout and Perch
Whether fished as trout lures in a clear stream or as perch lures on the lake, this set delivers hand-tuned, tank-tested quality. Every Rapala Countdown becomes a dependable companion on the water with genuine collector's appeal.
