The cutter rings rotate (by snap-in connections) on the leader spools. They are easy to postpone and also easy to remove again. Because the rings are wider than the spools, a closed system is build, that's easy to handle and protects the leader wires against environmental influences and UV rays.
Thus, the cutter rings are always reusable. If a leader coil is empty, cutter ring and cord donation ring are easy to remove and put on a new full spool.
